AMV Release - Prelude to the Dark Day Featured

Written by

This video is actually my first Avatar AMV, and my third AMV all together. It's also when I found out that Anime Music Video's now screens their videos and won't let you post unless you have a confirmed anime listed. The next stop was Youtube, where it had a remarkable success. A large string of comments and a flawless 5.0 rating until Nickelodeon decided it was tired of people pirating Avatar through Youtube. Youtube's actions were quick and ruthless, and my innocent video was wiped out with the pirate ships. I'm not complaining mind you, as Nickelodeon has a right to protect its assets.

So finally, with Aquaricat's good graces, here it is: Prelude to the Dark Day, set to A.F.I.'s Prelude to 12/21

Dragon's Anime Proudly Presents Featured

Written by

I'm pleased to present to you the work of Little Masa-ouki, a long time friend from the #TenchiFF chatroom of Aniverse, and his newest Anime Music Video. Because it is an Avatar AMV, he wasn't able to get it hosted in the normal places, such as animemusicvideos.org, or even youtube.com, so Dragon's Anime is honored, and proud to provide it here instead. The AMV is presented in Jeroen Wijering's Flash Media Player, which works similar to YouTube's player. You can find the video here in Little Masa-Ouki's new section, Masa's Corner.

Happy Holidays, from Dragon's Anime Featured

Written by

David and I both wanted to take the time to extend our wishes for a happy holiday, be it Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, or any of the myriad other celebrations of this time of year.  May you be as warm and loved with friends and family, as we shall be with ours.  Happy Holidays, from Dragon's Anime.

Closing & Moving - Oh, and Tenchi Muyo OVA 3 Featured

Written by

I've decided to close "Where No Anime Goes Unpunished."  It's been a long time, I'll admit, since Navaash and I first started it as "Where No Fic Goes Unpunished," which was a Tenchi Muyo fanfiction review site.  After Navaash steped aside, it was Rurouni Ken-ouki who became my webmaster.  Then as he stepped aside, I tried it myself for awhile.  Then JC and I started this new version of Dragon's Anime...and this is where I started doing all of my work.

RoaDLM: Epiphanies at Conventions Featured

Written by

Whilst walking through Fanime bright and cheery, I stumbled across a fangirl lovely and pretty. Her boyfriend hovered o'er her dark and blearly, from the bounds of hell, did he seem quite leary, of the fanboy attention she did receive. Pausing not to wonder why my meter is now askew, epiphany struck like morning dew. So here are my words to give it definition; dear brave souls, we have become transcendant in our mission.

Dragon's Den Opens Featured

Written by

Now that the site upgrades are completed, I've added my first Dragon's Den column article, on the recent Eroge Anime trend that has been seen over the last six years. Bear in mind that much of this is my own opinion, much the same as David's Rantings of a Demented Little Man are his, but I've tried to be as factual as possible in order to give you a good picture of the trend. Enjoy!

Rebuild Update Featured

Written by

As you can see, the construction of the new Dragon's Anime is coming along nicely. We've added a few reviews, and our first articles will be showing up within the next couple of weeks.  Also, feel free to browse our newsfeed section, if you're interested in fan-subbed anime, as we've added several news feeds from some of the major subbers, including the feed from AnimeSuki, one of the largest and most popular distribution sites. Though the site is not quite ready to be open as of yet, we are accepting submissions of new links to the links directory. We thank you again for your patience, and look forward to the official opening of the site.
