This time we're revisiting some old friends as I take a look at the second season of Spice & Wolf. Horo's back, and of course she's still teasing along her favorite chew toy Lawrence Craft as they make their way northward. Come hit the road with them and see what sort of trouble they get into this time!
No, I'm not asking you to invite Pinhead and his buddies over for beer and sexually bittersweet suffering, I'm talking about the series Pandora Hearts that just finished its run last week. Oz Vessalius is a young noble's son who's about to have his coming of age ceremony… and what a party it turns out to be! He gets himself a cute little homicidally psychotic girl that turns into a big damn black rabbit with a bigger scythe out of the deal, so maybe it's not a total loss, right? Follow me on a journey into Pandora Hearts to see for sure.
What happens when you take a girl that has the ability to see emotion and intent as a person's colored aura, and teach her how to kill practically before she's out of diapers? If you're lucky, you get committed to an asylum before being dumb enough to unleash the wraith of a woman scorned on the world, but if not, you get Canaan, the titular character of the series I'm reviewing this time… err, Canaan. Join her on a little tour of just how dark and nasty the world can really be, and see if Canaan is worth you taking a look at. At least there's some huge meat buns to be had…
Before Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, and Korea, there was a slightly bigger war affectionately referred to as the second world war. You may remember this from your history courses – it was the one after the war to end all wars, WWI. In an alternate world, the continent of Europa is in the middle of its own World War, but unlike our world, where splitting the atom made the biggest boom, the superweapons of choice were the Valkyria, heroic maidens with incredible destructive powers who vanished at the end of the last war – unfortunately for Gallia, war didn't vanish with them. Join me for a little cross-dimensional visit to the world of Valkyria Chronicles to see if we can't find a few maidens that measure up to the impressive proportions of such well endowed heroines.
And yeah folks… I'm still alive. Barely. Keep an eye here for more updates soon, I've got a lot of catching up to do.
Taking a break from the various convention related items still in the works, I've put to the proverbial pen and paper a review of one the manga I picked up over at Anime Central this year, that being Ben Dunn's 'Heaven Sent'.
A little treat for all our readers, we have a new article from Anyaku in the form of a review for the anime Tytania. An interesting little space opera apprently, and given this review, I may well give it another try.
When dealing with dark magical girls, it's best to notice their sad, sad eyes. Wanting to hold them and tell them it's alright is perfectly natural, and one should do this at every opportunity. Typically, despite their very desperate need for somebody to love, one needs to beat the living daylights out of them for the lesson to sink in; after which you have your very own devoted life long minion you can hug and squeeze and...
Hope you folks are ready for an update, because I've got eight, count'em, EIGHT new reviews for you this time around. So, what's on the list?

- Franken Fran
- Tetsuwan Birdy: Decode
- Natsume Yuujinchou
- Wagaya no Oinari-sama

And who knows? The winter season is just about over, so there might just be some more reviews coming soon too! Till then, keep your stick on the ice!
Well, I've been threatening this one for awhile. And as such, here we go, a review of oddly, my current favorite manga, Dance in the Vampire Bund which is filled with all the bloody vampire goodness one could ever hope for. Oh sure, the girl looks about twelve, but I dare you to tell her she can't do whatever she damn well wants after you read the first chapter. C'mon, what are you? Chicken? Yeah, I would be too after what I saw her do that would be assassin of hers.
