Fate Zero Anime to get US Release

Well, wasn't expecting that. It appears that Fate Zero is getting a U.S.A. release from our boys at Aniplex. Blu Ray even. Should be interesting to see how it plays out, just don't expect a dub.

Then again, I wonder if they'd get the Geneon dub actors back for this if they were considering it (they all work at Bang Zoom, so it shouldn't be that hard). More importantly, would we get an uncensored Fate Stay Night remake if this is successful, and would they dub those lines too? Ah, wouldn't that be something.

On that subject, I should look up how the new Fate Unlimited Codes did on the PSP. Still, it's not a Fate game if you can't molest the Sabre; that's all I'm saying.

Fate - Stay/Night Full Translation Released

Well, it looks like the good folk over at Mirror Moon have finally released the full translation patch for Fate - Stay/Night. The last arc, finally available, is the Heaven's Feel, or Sakura path, and should complete that final bit of story we've all been lusting after. So get over there and get it!

h/t Peorth for the news

Alright! From the people who brought us the full Tsukihime english translation patch, Mirror Moon: The Fate scenario (or Sabre route, if you prefer) is fully translated and ready for use. So for those of you who have the game (or know where to get it) and want to know what's going on as it happens, rather than referring to a guide or overview, this should least until you want to complete the Rin and Sakura routes, heh.

Fate: Stay/Night Review

Today we have what is an oddity of anime story telling in that despite the best efforts of the production staff to completely screw it up, the story and characters shine through proving how powerful the source material must have been. So without further ado, may I present to you: Fate: Stay/Night.

Fate Stay/Night (TV, 2006)

Folks, meet Emiya Shirou. They call him the carrot top of Japan...well, not really, but there you have it; an orange haired Japanese boy enrolled in High School. A family friend has been coming over to take care of him since his adopted father passed away, going well into a few years now. Honestly, if this cliche hasn't been overdone, I don't know what is. However, one night, while staying late at school, he comes upon two men fighting to the death with some seriously hardcore edged weapons. One of them notes his presence, and after the duel, in which both broke off the fight for another time, the one who is called Lancer, tracks him down and attempts to kill him. This leads into a chain of events where he finds out he is one of the chosen Magi to fight in a war for the Holy artifact which can grant any desire. The Magi, who are the masters, are given leave to summon one servant to aid them...these servants typically being Eiri, the valorously slain; and quite by accident, Shirou manages to summon the best of them, the Sabre...which was surprising to all, especially Sabre, who greets him with the question, "I ask you, are you my master?"
