Fate/Stay Night Sabre Route Patch Finished Featured
Written by David NolenAlright! From the people who brought us the full Tsukihime english translation patch, Mirror Moon: The Fate scenario (or Sabre route, if you prefer) is fully translated and ready for use. So for those of you who have the game (or know where to get it) and want to know what's going on as it happens, rather than referring to a guide or overview, this should satisfy...at least until you want to complete the Rin and Sakura routes, heh.
So, I know things have been pretty slow, but there have been a few things going on. So, I'll round it up here at the end (or is that beginning?) of the week.
The Fanfiction Mailing List is now back up. It had gone down briefly due to the untimely passing of the maintainer of the Aniverse servers. For now, the new posting address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
A lot of people have a lot to say on the subject of moe, and it's been interesting cruising through the various articles on it, to say the least. Here for example, is an indepth dissertation on the meaning and usage of it as it's being used at present time. Which is to say, it's definitely different from its actual meaning which can be found here (and includes its own expansion of the word).
I also note that the Heisei Democracy site has more to it than just odd articles, it contains a lot of trivia based news concerning anime and manga that is well worth a read through.
Drop by the forums and discuss the subject, for there is a lot about it that people both agree on and find contradictory. CLOSED
As of today, (yesterday really) Azrael, author of the series of articles entitled "I Am a Japanese School Teacher," has finished moving all his old articles to the Gaijin Smash website.
Whilst browsing through the internet, in this particular case the Somethingawful forums, I was pointed to a rather amusing little site known as Ecchi Attack! In particular was the article entitled "Moemania!" which is a systematic dissection of the idea of moe as presented by Ken Akamatsu, manga-ka of "Love Hina" and "Mahou-sensei Negima."
If you can pick yourselves up from laughing so hard at this, I recommend all of the other articles on the site, such as the Ludwig Wittgenstein: The Shotanization Notes...all of which redefine the category of wronger than Hell, while definitely making the point.
Not Dead Yet... and I'm Here to Help?! Featured
Written by David NolenNope, certainly not dead yet. Holidays damn near killed us in ways that would make even the Devil go, "That's not right." Still, we've made it.
Though to start the new year, we have seen some interesting things happen. Not to mention the resurrection of someone I thought we'd never see again: A fanfic author by the name of Mark Doherty, and his insanely good Sailor Moon fic, finished after 8 f'n years of haitus, "I'm Here to Help" (note: the link takes you to the final chapter; I recommend reading from the beginning if you've not read it yet.) And believe me, I would have waited an eternity for this.
I'll see about getting the second half of the Anime Expo con report up this weekend. Almost in time for the next one, I know, heh.
I just want to be one of the first to congratulate my co-writer, David (K`thardin) on his first college diploma! I know just how hard he's worked for it - after all, I'm the one the big baby complained to when things were getting tough. ^_- Heh, congratulations man - you definitely earned it.
This is just a brief hello from here in snowy Plymouth, wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and a safe holiday. We've added the Dragon's Anime forums, and the construction on the new site is just about complete. We hope that we'll be of use to you in the future, and thank you for visiting.
Merry Christmas again.
