Nights of Azure Review Up

Needing some serious rest from the grindfest that is Bloodbourne I picked up a game called Nights of Azure, completely unsuspecting what it was about, but the cover art should have warned me. That said, it gave me the rest I needed and entertained me besides, proving itself to be one of the more interesting games I've ever played, though honestly it was basically a playable light novel. If you want more info, head on over to my review of it, and see if you'd like to try this thing out.

Though yes, yuri. So yuri.

Nights of Azure (Playstation 3/4/Vita, 2016)

Overview

Some time ago, a creature known as the Night Lord rose up to bathe the world in eternal darkness and rule forever in the shadow of the new existence. Armies rose to challenge him, but all were defeated in their turn until the great Saint defeated him in combat. However, his death did not come without consquence, and his blood rained down upon the world, and corrupted all it touched. Thus were born the beasts who devour the dreams and night time of the people, especially upon Rusewall Island where the final battle took place. Into this, comes Arnice, a woman who has not been corrupted by the blue blood, but instead has fused it equally within her, making her blood purple thus taking the blue blood's power, but keeping her human free will. Here she has been charged with defeating the beasts, and ensuring that the new Saint is protected until it is time for her to be sacrificed to seal what remains of the Night Lord once again. Problem is, the new Saint is an old and very good friend of hers, Lilysse, and Arnice will be damned if that one will be sacrified. Other options will need to be considered.

Hmm...how to describe GATE. Basically, it's how many of us wish we could enter a fantasy world...armed to the teeth with modern weapons so we can just shoot the son of a bitch and hear the lamentations of their women. There's more to it than that, and despite some pretty glaring flaws, I found it to be pretty entertaining. Still, for the full analysis, check out the review, if you want to know what I'm really talking about. Also, a goth loli demigoddess who gets off on the pain, suffering, and death of her enemies! Enjoy!

Overview

In modern Japan, a gate suddenly appears in down town Ginza, and suddenly bursting forth from it...invaders! But not, your typical super powered alien invaders with science so advanced as to be indistinguishable from magic, running roughshod over everyone and everything, racking up a fucking body count so high that your average mujahid gets cock envy, until finally some plucky kid in a biotechnic robot suit does what professional soldiers cannot, and beats them back, oh no. No, instead, the doom that befalls us this time are...Romans. Yup, Romans. Needless to say, after the initial shock and awe wears off, with a few hundred people dead, the swat teams and SDF, with modern weapons and modern military tactics turn them back relatively easily. Still, that leaves the question of just what the fuck the gate is, why it appeared, the fuck were the people on the other side thinking attacking without intel or a plan, and so on and so forth. Aside from the international repercussions of a dimensional incursion, it's up to what amounts to Japan's armed forces, the SDF, to head to the other side and deal with whatever is there.

Shimoseka Anime Review Up

A very Merry Christmas to you all! For a bit of a present, here's a review of the anime Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist. While entertaining, it really needed some serious work. Check out more of what I thought of it in the review proper. As always, have fun and enjoy!

Matsuki Miyu, rest well. We'll see you when we get there.

Overview

So, basically 1984 the crank-anime where Goldstein is a Japanese highschool girl with big tits who has sex joke tourette syndrome, runs around wearing a set of panties on her head, and a sheet over her body for a disguise. Oh, what Japan hath wrought this time. Let's see where this one takes us.

The Testament of Sister New Devil Review Up

I really need to do more of these. Regardless, here is a review for action packed hentai series (and you who've seen this know perfectly well it's H), The Testament of Sister New Devil. Overall not a bad series, but it does cross a line that might not appeal to all. That said, it was pretty fun. Season 2 is coming out next month, so if you're thinking about getting caught up, check out the review and see if it may be your thing or not. Enjoy!

The Testament of Sister New Devil (TV,2015)

Overview

Oh hey, generic anime guy winds up with two new step sisters, one a loli and another that takes more than a little of her character design from Rias Gremory...though her tits may even be bigger than that. Dad has to bail for awhile; of course he does. This is either the start of some harem hijinks or an H anime. Even more generic twist! They're devils! They were using you and your father to hide from their enemies for awhile, but now that you've discovered their secret...they're going to have to erase your memory by beating your ass. Watch as our protagonist turns into the same kind of pussy that they all do in a long line of anime pussies that somehow wins the heart of...wait. Did that fucker just do the equivalent of shouting "Guyver!"? Yes, yes he did. Is he beating their asses like they said they were going to do to him? Like a kettle drum. Not this man's first rodeo apparently, and he's actually going to try to take care of these two? And one of them's a succubus...who maneuvers you all into doing all sorts of...yeah, the blu rays are going to be awesome.

And for his triumphant return, J.C. brings to us Dragon's Anime's first video review, The Elder Scrolls Online. Witness as J.C. gushes over the story and complains about the lack of other human controlled character avatars. Suffer with me as I try to figure out how I'm going to put this in the reviews section. Rejoice as I make a decision about it. But why take my word for it? Click up there and see what he thought...maybe it'll be a game you'd want to check out too.

Arpeggio of Blue Steel Review

So, while trolling through Netflix, I came across this anime that I had passed up the first time, and was kinda intrigued about. I put it on the back burner, but it kept up popping up as recommended. Finally I did some looking, and the best review I saw for it was, "What Kantai Collection wishes it could be." Huh. Tossing it in, I discovered a very nice sci fi story and some decent Nautical knowhow, which is kinda topical considering what I used to do for a living. Overall, I found it decent, but check out my review, and see if you might not be convinced to give it a go as well.
