So, as I slog through some old pics, I find that Gensao has bequeathed me, not only his Sac Anime Summer 2012 pics, but also his Fanime 2011 pics; including that mega-dose of pics from the main stage of the Masquerade which are no included in their own folder with Mayhem's Masquerade Backstage.

I'll be getting to the Sac Anime Pics in short order, and hope I'll get a minireport done sometime soon as well. If you're one of the cosplayers and want a larger, unedited, and/or raw version of your pic(s), send me a message and I'll make theme available. Well, in Gensao's case, all I have are the JPG's given his enormous picture taking proclivity, but if you really want the raws, I'll see about contacting him concerning them. Have fun!

Gensao's PMX Pics Now Available

After procrastinating for an ungodly amount of time, I've finally gotten around to posting Gensao's pics from PMX 2011. For those that were looking for more meat to their con going experience, look no further. Gensao is known for his prodigious efforts at photographing anything and everyone he can at conventions, trying to ensure that nothing is lost to the mists of time, and in this he does not disappoint...even though we were only there for one day. Of particular note is the amount of pictures he took of the Ladies Of Tenchi Muyo panel which will be a treat for everyone who was a fan of that series.

To one and all, enjoy!

PMX 2011 Ladies of Tenchi Muyo Movies

Well folks, after some bit of procrastination, I've finally got the Ladies of Tenchi Muyo's appearances at PMX transcoded and up for viewing, both the Fan Q&A Session and the Press Q&A Session which you can see now by clicking on their respective links.

For those that crave higher definition, I give you the torrents for the Fan Q&A Session and the Press Q&A Session as hosted by Nyaa Torrents.

Pictures should likely be going up in a couple of days. We weren't there for too long, but what we do have we'll share as we always have. It was a lot of fun being there and meeting these ladies in person; those of us at this site pretty much started out as uuber fans of this series, and it was a wonderful thing to go back and share some memories with them. Check them out and I hope you have as much fun watching as we did recording it.

Sac Anime Summer 2011 Report Up

After about a month of procrastination, I've finally completed the Sac Anime 2011 report which you can read by clicking ye ol hyperlink.

What can I say about it? It was fun; probably the biggest poster boy for why a small to mid sized convention can be as much, if not more, fun as the larger coventions such as Comic Con and Anime Expo. But hey, why listen to me yapping here, when the meat of my observations is in the report. Enjoy!

Sac Anime Summer 2011 Report

Sac Anime is a biannual convention located in Sacramento, California taking place in January and September, which I attended this past September. Both Mayhem and Gensao had been bothering me about checking it out at least once; so finally caving, I went ahead and made plans to attend. As is usual for me in current years, I attended as Press, which typically allows me to set up camera gear, record events, and whatnot with minimal fuss, especially at smaller conventions like this one.

X Japan's Bejing Concert Cancelled

X Japan, Bejing, Concert, Cancelled, 2011

Bad news for Bejing fans of X Japan; looks like they had some technical SNAFU's which screwed up their Bejing visit. More info on the official press release:

X JAPAN¹S BEJING CONCERT CANCELLED

It is with great regret that X Japan announces the cancellation of the band¹s November 2 date in Beijing. Chinese officials had issued a permit and were supportive. The cancellation is due to a last-minute decision by the promoters that included technical and production issues.
