ACEN 2009

Anime Central 2009 will be occurring this coming weekend over at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois a few miles from the Chicago International Airport. Since I had such a great time last year at that con, I'll be attending this one as well. If you happen to be a cosplayer you might see a short guy with even shorter hair, probably with a shirt proudly displaying a Decepticon symbol, running around taking pictures. Either that or a short guy in a black monk outfit. Odds are that'll be me; so if you recognize me, come up and say hi!

Hope we all have a lot of fun, and hope to see you all there!

CPM Throws In The Towel

And another one bites the dust. Central Park Media has filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. That means the whole company will be liquidated for those of us who are unaware of U.S. bankruptcy law. Not surprising since they've not released anything in about a year or made a peep in the longest time. Seems to me these guys quit a long time ago, and just now finally decided to up and finish the job. Shame too...guess I better get those Urotsukidouji box sets I've been meaning to get for the longest time, heh.

Finally...the harem anime rant is done!

Vae Victus! Suffering to the Conquered! I'm pleased to report the long promised Harem Anime Rant is finally done.

But who is conquered? Or are we all just suffering? Maybe someone will be able to tell me after it's read.

Befriendings are coming to you!

When dealing with dark magical girls, it's best to notice their sad, sad eyes. Wanting to hold them and tell them it's alright is perfectly natural, and one should do this at every opportunity. Typically, despite their very desperate need for somebody to love, one needs to beat the living daylights out of them for the lesson to sink in; after which you have your very own devoted life long minion you can hug and squeeze and...

Dance in the Vampire Bund Manga Review

Well, I've been threatening this one for awhile. And as such, here we go, a review of oddly, my current favorite manga, Dance in the Vampire Bund which is filled with all the bloody vampire goodness one could ever hope for. Oh sure, the girl looks about twelve, but I dare you to tell her she can't do whatever she damn well wants after you read the first chapter. C'mon, what are you? Chicken? Yeah, I would be too after what I saw her do that would be assassin of hers.

Death of the Forums

Well folks, as we all know, the forums aren't really in use as anything other than spam catching, what with us having to delete, at times quite literally, hundreds of sign-ups at a time, and the occasional bit of spam that gets through. To be honest, this is a hobby site, so it's not really all that surprising, though it is kinda depressing. Since this is the case, we are hereby terminating the forums.

The means by which we can be contacted will be determined at a later date and placed in a conspicuous location on the site somewhere should the need arise.
