A quick update from Peter S. Beagle and Connor Cochran September 13, 2013

Can we do it again next week in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York?

With your help, heck yeah!

So far we've had 21 amazing shows in 16 wonderful locations, and now we're headed east again to get Peter and our killer digital print of the movie to a whole bunch of new theaters. Specifically these (click on the links to buy tickets):

Friday 9/20/2013, 7 PM Alamo Drafthouse Winchester, in Winchester, VA

Saturday 9/21/2013, 1 PM Alamo Drafthouse One Loudon, in Ashburn, VA

Sunday 9/22/2013, 2 PM Angelika Mosaic, in Fairfax, VA

Monday 9/23/2013, 5 PM & 7:30 PM This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. [Note: there are no online ticket sales for this location. So click this email link to tell us how many seats to hold for you, and at which show. Kutztown seats are only $6!]

Tuesday 9/24/2013, 7 PM Manville 12 Plex in Manville, NJ

Thursday 9/26/2013, 7 PM Village East in Manhattan on 2nd Avenue

Saturday 9/28/2013, 2 PM Cinemas 123 in Manhattan on 3rd Avenue

Sunday 9/29/2013, 7 PM Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers in Yonkers, NY

Monday 9/30/2013, 7 PM City Cinemas 86th Street East in Manhattan on 86th Street

If you live in (or near) any of these locations, then get your tickets right now for these special events. This is your chance to FINALLY see The Last Unicorn on the big screen, in a big crowd of fellow fans that feel the same love and excitement for this story that you do. Peter will be at every screening to do a Q&A session, sign things, give hugs and great conversation — and he’ll stay as long as it takes for every last person there to get their proper turn with him. Raffle prizes and special tour-exclusive merchandise make each screening a unique chance to revel in all things unicorn. Costumes are encouraged, and great costumes will be rewarded! Like this Molly Grue and Pirate Cat from one of the Denver shows...

If you’re interested in volunteering, come join the Midnight Carnival by working with us to spread the word as a barker, or at an actual event as a Roustabout. Contact Chris Rickert at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to learn more.

Please note that the last screening in this tour leg is an EXTRA-special event: a show we added to make The Last Unicorn available to observant Jewish fans who would otherwise have to miss it because of the September Jewish High Holiday schedule. If you're Jewish, please help us spread the word to your congregation and others. We don't have a lot of time to make certain every Jewish fan in the tri-state area hears about this special extra day!

So, all you wonderful fans of Peter S. Beagle and The Last Unicorn, here is what Peter needs every one of you to do:

1) If you can get to any of these East Coast shows, buy a ticket and come!

2) If you don't live within reach, but you know someone who loves The Last Unicorn that does, then please tell them we're coming! Call them, email then, text them, Facebook them, send smoke signals...it doesn't matter. Just let them know where Peter and the screenings are going to be, and get them to either come to a show or else spread the word even further themselves.

SWEETENING THE POT (AGAIN)

This worked well a few weeks ago in Southern California, so we're doing it again. To encourage folks to spread the word, we're offering a special two-part prize.

Prize, Part One: Anybody who comes up to Peter's signing table and says "The RAVEN sent me," will get a free 35mm film frame from an actual 1982 theatrical print of The Last Unicorn, in a protective glassine envelope signed by Peter.

Prize, Part Two: These self-identified winners will then be asked who told them about the screening...and that person will get a film frame prize as well, even if they aren't there!

There's more to share, but we have to hit the road and drive all our inventory from California to Virginia in time for the Winchester show. Watch for some special updates from the road!
