Introduction

A succubus is both an interesting and beautiful creature, but they can also be quite hazardous. Among lonely fantasy story loving men, typically, they are only second in popularity to a catgirl. They reasons for which are quite obvious to all, but the most obtuse. They have bodies that redefine perfection; coming in shapes and sizes to fit any and all preferences, not to mention an insatiable need for sex, and often a giving and loving nature no matter what you might look like. They are the perfect fantasy come to life; how could they not be desirable? For this, they are highly sought after; however, there are pitfalls associated with a succubus that could take a man unawares, often fatally so, should he not first prepare himself as previously noted. It is here in this guide the education that will ensure both your survival and your happiness with the succubus will begin. Keep in mind, it will only be a beginning. This is not the end all, be all resource for your succubus needs, and you will need to seek those other sources out. There are books, there are demons of knowledge, there are instructional videos, testimony from various men who've managed to acquire one, and most importantly the succubus herself will tell you a great deal, not just about what she is, but WHO she is...and you'll find this invaluable. For various reasons, I cannot list too many specific sources in this text, but an internet search should put you on the right track. You should at least look into consulting all of the mentioned references during your time with the girl, which could very well be the rest of your life...let's hope it will be a long one. We've all got to start somewhere, though, and first you actually have to get one, or at least be thinking of getting one...assuming one hasn't already gotten you.

More from the ASOS Brigade

Well, it looks like our diabolical friends over at the ASOS have come out with a new episode, they have right on their front page. Ep 005...which makes me wonder how many I missed so far...or did I miss them?

In any event, here you go, and spread the word! All Hail Haruhi!

More on the Subject of Moe

A lot of people have a lot to say on the subject of moe, and it's been interesting cruising through the various articles on it, to say the least. Here for example, is an indepth dissertation on the meaning and usage of it as it's being used at present time. Which is to say, it's definitely different from its actual meaning which can be found here (and includes its own expansion of the word).

I also note that the Heisei Democracy site has more to it than just odd articles, it contains a lot of trivia based news concerning anime and manga that is well worth a read through.

Drop by the forums and discuss the subject, for there is a lot about it that people both agree on and find contradictory. CLOSED

Gaijin Smash

As of today, (yesterday really) Azrael, author of the series of articles entitled "I Am a Japanese School Teacher," has finished moving all his old articles to the Gaijin Smash website.

ASOS Brigade!

As part of the viral or gorilla marketing scheme to announce the distribution by Bandai and release of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (no homepage yet, that I can find) by Kodokawa here in the states on May 29th, there has been a live action production of something referred to as the ASOS Brigade. At present these consist of two hilarious skits in a mixture of English and Japanese language which have to seen to be believed. The scheme also includes a MySpace page for those who are into that sort of thing.

Happy viewing!

And yes, that is indeed, as she herself says, the Pink Space Ranger, Patricia Ja Lee. Now all we need is for her and Johnny Young Bosch to get a part together, just for the shear irony of it all.

The Power of Moe

Whilst browsing through the internet, in this particular case the Somethingawful forums, I was pointed to a rather amusing little site known as Ecchi Attack! In particular was the article entitled "Moemania!" which is a systematic dissection of the idea of moe as presented by Ken Akamatsu, manga-ka of "Love Hina" and "Mahou-sensei Negima."

If you can pick yourselves up from laughing so hard at this, I recommend all of the other articles on the site, such as the Ludwig Wittgenstein: The Shotanization Notes...all of which redefine the category of wronger than Hell, while definitely making the point.

RoaDLM - Anime Expo 2006 Report - Part 02

Well, here we go, the final part of my trials and tribulations at 2006's Anime Expo. I hope you find it both informative and entertaining. Not to mention helpful during your journeys through this or that convention.

Should you have any questions about what I mentioned, feel free to drop by the boards and ask. Good luck, and may your next convention be as entertaining as this one was for me. CLOSED

Not Dead Yet... and I'm Here to Help?!

Nope, certainly not dead yet. Holidays damn near killed us in ways that would make even the Devil go, "That's not right." Still, we've made it.

Though to start the new year, we have seen some interesting things happen. Not to mention the resurrection of someone I thought we'd never see again: A fanfic author by the name of Mark Doherty, and his insanely good Sailor Moon fic, finished after 8 f'n years of haitus, "I'm Here to Help" (note: the link takes you to the final chapter; I recommend reading from the beginning if you've not read it yet.) And believe me, I would have waited an eternity for this.

I'll see about getting the second half of the Anime Expo con report up this weekend. Almost in time for the next one, I know, heh.

Second Part of Move Complete

Well, here they are, the final reviews from "Where No Anime Goes Unpunished." We have for you, Rozen Maiden Season 1, Koihime OVA 1 and 2, Maburaho, DearS, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, and Akane (DIE YOU F'D UP ANIME, DIE!)Maniax.

Yes, I'm working on my anger issues, and my therapist says I'm coming along fine. Sure he did it at gun point, but he did say it.

I'll be closing "Where No Anime Goes Unpunished" formally, after New Years. As with the others I moved from there, I won't create any threads for them, due to their ages and such, but if you, our loyal readers wish to, again, we'll be more than happy to jump in.

Enjoy!

First Part of Move Complete

Damn, we're just rocking on with the updates today!

Depending on how this goes, I'll either have the move complete by tomorrow...or after the beginning of next year. Still in any event, I've uploaded four of the reviews for your viewing pleasure: Scrapped Princess, Tenjho Tenge, Transformers: Armada, and Transformers: Energon.
